MARIBYRNONG ORCHID SOCIETY SPRING SHOW FOR 2012

As well as our member's orchid displays, refreshments, plant sales and orchid accessory sales and a raffle were all a part of the weekend.

The Grand Champion of the Show and Champion Hybrid Any Other Genera was Dtps Leopard Princess shown by Jim & Margot Lattimore.

Reserve Champion Orchid of the Show, Champion Cymbidium and Best Medium Cymbidium, Cym Gentle Touch 'Bon Bon', Bob Rowlands.

Reserve Champion Cymbidium, Best Specimen Cymbidium, Best Small Cymbidium and Champion Orchid by a Novice Grower, Cym Mimi x caniliculatum, E Locs.

Champion Species Orchid: Gerald McCraith AM Award, and Champion Species not previously mentioned was Phal aphrodite 'Ben Yu' shown by Jim & Margot Lattimore.

Champion Orchid by an Intermediate Grower and Best Seedling Australian Native Orchid, Den (Hilda Poxon x Gai Ellen) x Graham Hewitt Le Tan Liep.

Pre-eminent Entry of the Show and Champion Basket of Orchids, was Basket 5 entered by Joe Crawford.

Champion Australian Native Species Orchid of the Show and Best Australian Native Specimen was Den speciosum 'Windemere' entered by Deiter Breuer

Champion Stand (Predominately Orchids)was won by Stand 'E', Jim & Margot Lattimore.

Champion Specimen Orchid of the Show, Best Speciman Orchid Any Other Genera and Best Cultivated Orchid, Maxillaria picta, G Pezzin.

There were many entries in the floral art section. Best Open Floral Art was won by Margot Lattimore
